In fact, AEC's program is so outstanding, it trains approximately 25 percent of the world's future emergency and critical care specialists.

The Center's team of over 35 doctors and support staff lead the way in the field of small animal emergency and critical care. AEC doctors deliver lectures, present papers, and publish books and articles, and establish protocols and guidelines for patient care for the veterinary profession. Pioneers in new areas of critical care, they also develop techniques used by veterinarians' worldwide.

AEC's unique specialization makes it one of the nation's premier veterinary learning centers.

Candidates for staff veterinarians are hand-selected from across the country to participate in our teaching programs. The veterinarians must demonstrate exceptional ability to care for critically ill animals while showing compassion for the families and pet.
