Groovy's tribute to SuperReiman:

I remember the first day I met Dr. Reiman a year and a half ago. Because of her, I view life so differently now - When I think of her and the journey we've taken together, I don't think about chemotherapy or aspirated lumps or biopsies or mast cells or sutures or radiation or e-collars or surgeries or radiographs or ultrasounds. Instead, all I remember are treats and belly rubs and tail wags and ear scratches and muzzle nuzzles and warm hugs and lots of kisses and celebrating my birthday with my favorite vet and celebrating my year anniversary of cancer survival and all the stuff Dr. Reiman has done to keep my spirit strong.

Dr. Reiman's the one who made my mom feel not so "lost" on the insane roller coaster that we embarked on. She took the time to go through all the things that were upsetting and confusing, and she answered all the questions my mom had in such great detail. Dr. Reiman, would always patiently and thoroughly answer every single question we had, giving us way more info than we could have even known to ask.

She seemed to know every minute detail about the types of cancer I had, and she has done tons of research on my case to help us understand it all.

She has always been honest with us about my disease, even at times when the news was not what we wanted to hear. This journey would not have been the same without her as our partner. She made it less confusing, less frightening, and we never felt like we were alone because she walked this path with us.

Last year, my prognosis was 3-6 months. But now I am cancer free and won't even need another checkup until October. Because of SuperReiman, my new quote is "Dude, where's my cancer?" The pooches of Wisconsin don't know what they're in for! If dog references count, the best thing I can say about Dr. Reiman is that I trust her with my life.
