Communications About Your Pet

The veterinarian will probably not call you the evening of admission unless there is something specific to report or additional information is needed. You are welcome to call at any time and ask how your pet is doing. The doctor may not be able to speak with you personally, but can get a message to you regarding your pet’s status.

The next morning between 6am- 9am you will receive a phone call from the attending doctor. You will learn how your pet is doing, what the plan is for the day and an idea about the status of the charges. If for some reason your contact person is unable to speak with the doctor during that time, please feel free to call during the day for an update. You should receive a call in the early evening with an additional update – usually between 3pm and 7pm.

If an extended stay at the Animal Emergency Center or additional treatment becomes necessary, you will be informed of the medical status of your pet and the status of your bill. You will be asked for approval of the additional recommended services, given an increased estimate range and be asked to leave additional deposits.
