We are expanding! Check back for updates regading construction of our new wing. An additional 3500 square feet is being added to accommodate the new MRI, spiral CT, 3 new surgery suites, and additional ICU space.
Below: The old surgery prep area is now the medical procedures room. At the table to the right, the oncology team is preparing to administer chemotherapeutic drugs to a dog with lymphoma. On the left, the dentist is performing specialized dental procedures. Endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed in this area of the Center.
Below: The new ICU has a large nurses stations
as well as an expanded patient space of approximately 15 cages.
Below: This view of the new ICU shows the two large runs available for housing critical large sized dogs, CPR and ventilator area, treatment table, and bird incubator.
Below: The spiral CT unit is now housed in the remodeled old surgery suites. This is located adjacent to the medical procedures room. This equipment required lead lining of the walls, door, and windows. A specialized ventilation system and wiring were required.
Below: The computer and monitor screen are located outside of the main CT room. Here, the oncologist is showing the CT technician the significant findings from the scan.
Below: The wall separating the old ICU from treatment is gone now. The MRI will be moved to the area on the right where the construction is active. A new Doctor’s station is behind the windows on the far right. The short hallway in the middle leads into the new ICU. The new emergency surgical suite is located behind the windows on the far left. A third treatment table dedicated to ultrasounds and echocardiography will be located where the plastic sheet is now hanging.
